Spain have grown into this tournament as it progressed and proved in their 5-2 extra time win over Ivory Coast that they have a fearsome attacking force, albeit one that did not play to its full potential in the group stages.

Japan have a tough job on their hands as they seek to contain the likes of Rafa Mir, who scored a hat-trick against Ivory Coast, Pedri and Marco Asensio.
